when you are breeding and your pokemon lay two eggs, is there any way to discern which egg is which? apparently my last duo of eggs included a clone charmander (what i am breeding for), and i ended up picking out the gible instead, which i plan on just abandoning. it seems kind of silly that you can't just pick the egg you want after waiting so long for eggs to be made.

Hello everybody! I'm knitting the Sideways Grande Cloche from Interview Accessories / Boutique Knits, and I've got a question. The hat begins by knitting a rectangle that will be sewn together on the short ends to form the body of the hat. The seam is hidden on the side by a nifty cable/braid you add afterwards and you pick up stitches along the top to knit the crown. My confusion is caused by the fact that the hat is begun on size 10 needles, and then after 14 or so inches you are supposed to switch to size 9, then every 2 inches after that you go down another needle size until you finish the rectangle. This seems strange to me. I understand that going down needle sizes would make the fabric denser, I just don't know if I see the point. If I can't see the point, I probably won't do it, so I figured I'd ask and see if any of you could enlighten me. Much appreciated!
